The tourism season has started right here!

TUG (the Upstairs Gallery) has started the new tourism season. Spring seems to have finally sprung, and visitors are now regularly coming in through our doors.

As a business, we do regularly interact with others across the Waveney Valley, and the slumber seems to have finally dispersed.

Our volunteer manager Michelle has received many visitors from the great Waveney Valley project talk, with a good response to what is needed for tourism and our visitors locally. Her genuine approach was well received, and the Waveney Valley project has begun. www.visitwaveneyvalley.co.uk.

Bookings for the gallery are increasing now, as many or our artists are planning their craft and art schedules for the year.

The Printmakers Council, The ART16 group, Josephine Fisk, Joan Sandford, Denise Wingrove and Graham Blackburn are a few of the Main Gallery exhibitors that will be showing during the spring and summer periods.

We still have Main gallery space available (selected weeks) for May and June for those that wish to reach out solely to our media reach and clients lists.

Our lists now reach 8500 people including galleries, arts press, arts in television and radio, as well as footfall and clients. We pride ourselves on the artists and crafts-makers work in East Anglia, and with a contract to continue our good work here until 2021 (at least) we will continue to provide a great service to our customers, and to our artists.

So with that in mind, if you would like to reserve your booking, contact www.theupstairsgallery.co.uk/how-to-exhibit.

Many people have also queried the wonderful sculpture that sits outside our gallery. His name is Stan Still, and can be found on regular newsfeeds, as well as within his own facebook page. Many businesses do ask for Stan to visit, and he has spent time with the Mayor, attended music festivals, shop-openings, and even gives talks at localised schools! He is currently to be found mooching around, as he has met a female who is to be found in a secret café garden in Beccles, we think Stan may be in love!

We look forward to your visit, and look forward to welcoming you at our Award Winning establishment soon!
